The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was a great addition to the PlayStation 3 lineup. Straight off the success of Morrowind, Oblivion pushes the RPG genre to the boundaries by creating an open ended experience with many choices to make allowing for hours and hours of endless gameplay.
Many would have expected that great experience to be transferred over to the portable realm as a Bethesda had plans for a PSP version of Oblivion by the end of 2007. However, in the recent months one would assume that the game could be on its way to being cancelled because of the lack of information for the title.
While this is not official, those thoughts of cancellation might be true as particular Gamestop retailers have reportedly called their customers whom pre-ordered Oblivion, informing them that the game has been cancelled.
When presented with the question, Bethesda responded, "We haven't changed our stance that we are not talking about this title right now,"
So does this mean that there will be no Oblivion on the PSP? If so, then it could come as a huge hurt to the PSP this holiday season as it surely would have been a top seller, something that the PSP could take advantage of just before Crisis Core releases in Europe and North America.

We'll of course the crisis core is coming out in america..is just the matter of when it will be coming out
What's 'a Bethesda'?
psn id: gingo... i think this would be really hard to port to a handheld because of the free roaming nature but if anyone can do it Bethesda can
The fact that they stopped work on the PSP game is ANCIENT HISTORY. We were told they canclled the game months ago. If this article is just because GAMESTOP called someone up to tell them to cancel this preorder there's nothing about them being 4 months late with the call that makes the situation any different.
Old news, Besides it was just a port of one of the mobile games or something, nothing like the console versions.
