Outside of God of War 3, is there any title you’re anticipating more than Uncharted 2: Among Thieves? I know we’re not. Nathan Drake is finally back from his R & R and moving from the luscious forest to a cold blizzardy adventure. EDGE Magazine scored a full cover story on Naughty Dog’s upcoming title and has revealed a couple more tidbits in some very action-packed pages.
An improved aspect to Uncharted 2 is the upgrade of the Uncharted Engine which significantly reduces texture pop-in. Furthermore, the development team has taken everything a notch up in the motion capture and voiceover field. Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was special due to the voice talent and the believable dialog within the game. However, this was only achieved by having the actual voice actors also taking part in the motion capturing. In Uncharted 2, the team is having the dialog delivered at the same time as the motion capturing, something not usually done in video games.
