PSU has learned that Redwood Falls – a PlayStation 3 exclusive zombie shooter from Kuju Entertainment – has officially been put on hold. The game was first unveiled at Play UK in 2006.

Utilizing the Unreal Engine 3, the title showed off a unique gameplay feature that allowed players to shoot off skin, muscle, and eventually down to organs and bone. Enemies would also boast the ability to regenerate body parts and tissue in real-time.

However, according to our Kuju Entertainment contact, the game’s future is looking pretty bleak. "As for Redwood Falls - the game itself is on hold," a company representative told us.
There is always a chance that the game may re-enter development, but it's pretty unlikely. If anything changes, we'll let you know. Stay tuned.

You guys never heard of it? Seriously? They had this big thing about being able to practically dismember zombies with a minigun and have it regenerate in real time. Oh well, I guess it's for the best since it's ue3 powered(or under-powered).

lol lordalucard and darknemsis agree
the unreal engine does pump out bad graphics and cheap AI and bad games like gears unrealT
games like rainbow vagas, endwar, cod, 007, shounld use a real game engine like crytek2.0 engine like crysis and farcry. or edge engine like killzone 2
besides about how unrealengine sucks i hope they finish the game and realese it on the ps3 becues we need more exclusive titles.

First unveiled way back in 2006, PSU reports that the promising game is now officially "on hold." A Kuju representative made the statement, which comes as disappointing news to those who love to take shotguns to zombies and watch the gore fly. Gamers and journalists first got a chance to see the intense, over-the-top brutal shooter at the Japanese Play UK event over two years ago; Redwood Falls would show zombie bodies ripped apart in a very realistic way. At the time, many were hopeful and anxiously anticipating more updates from Kuju, but this isn't the update they were looking for. Then again, considering we haven't heard so much as a peep from this particular title since then, Redwood Falls likely isn't on anyone's radar right now. In fact, this is the first we're hearing of the game in a very long time, so it's not exactly shocking that it's on hold. Of course, this has yet to be confirmed by Kuju high speed internet service, but we'll just have to go with what the rep told PSU. We did want to get a closer look at this blood-soaked zombie-fest, but looking at the PS3's 2009 lineup, we figure we can live without it.
However, even if this is true, "on hold" doesn't mean "canceled." It simply means "postponed," so you may see Redwood Falls at some point. Just don't hold your breath, and be happy with what's actually coming down the pike for the PS3.
