PS3 sells one million units in France

According to french market analyst firm GFK, Sony’s PlayStation 3 console has sold one million units in France since its release in March 2007.

In addition, Sony Computer Entertainment confirmed that they have pushed a more than five million games and accessories throughout the region during the same period.

"We now enjoy an incredible dynamic both on the sales of consoles on sales of games. We remain very optimistic for the end of this year, despite an economic complex and uncertain," commented President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment France, Fornay Georges.

Worldwide PS3 sales currently stand at 16.84 million as of September 30, 2008.

    Good sales, but i noticed that there is no given amount for the 360 witch is could be good or bad

    psn id: gingo... @hitman8062.... the xbox is a failure in mainland europe the only place the 360 sells well in europe is the UK

    I live in france and here the 360 has a very bad publicity (RROD) so most of us prefere to save up some extra money to buy a ps3 instead!
