i hope firmware 2.40 follows the release of the network downtime

i believe that 2.40 would have something to do with the downtime because otherwise i dont know what it would be for?

and also..correct me if im wrong but wasnt the last time the psn network was down you were still able to play games online...thats what i remember..because now the store and online are down..so it must be more of an update

are you kidding me? they decided to do this on the day that a huge multiplayer title, battlefield bad company is coming out? wtf are they thinking...I'm all about a great performing network, and it should be done for a title like this....but shouldn't they do this today instead of tommorrow?

I'm always down for better performance of the network, that is if it isn't for the 2.4 update.

Anything to make the system that we have better is a great thing. I like updates and maintenace. It really goes to show you that SONY is working hard for it true fans and if they are willing to do everything to give me a better system every month, then i'm all for it. I'LL BE A 25 YEAR OF FANBOY WHO GETS UPDATES AND MAINTENACE AT NO COST TO HAVE A BETTER SYSTEM THEN ANY OTHER OUT THERE!!!!!!

Go to PS3fanboy they got confirmation that it's just a regular scheduled maintenance. Sorry, everyone, no 2.4 tomorrow.

They aren't going to be taking down the PSN for a FW update. don't get your hopes up...

you never know. sony does not comment on rumors....but have they ever faked us out before though?  I really dont think so.  My best guess is your best guess....and it's almost guaranteed to not be home......although that WOULD be cool.....

Mostly upset about not getting to play MGO.  I will just have to play through MGS4 again, I'm on my second play through, trying to get the stealth camo (no detections).  BF:BC comes out today too which I am getting for my xbox so I will have that to play...

i believe the had to do with the expansion of the home closed beta. 2.40 will probally be out in july.
