Regular readers of PSU may have noticed that there have been some significant server issues in recent weeks. We wanted to take this opportunity to give you all the latest information on the current situation and how things will change going forward.

The issues can partly be attributed to a jump in popularity of PlayStation Universe. As we have grown, we have provided more content to more readers and the usual server setup appears to be struggling. We had of course planned for this, but unfortunately it's difficult to know if the strategies will work until they're actually tested - and evidently they're not operating perfectly.

Particular issues that you may have noticed include missing thumbnails, screenshots and other images. Other media, such as video and themes, is also suffering, and until the current situation is resolved, expect the volume of video content to be reduced.

We're in talks with our hosts regarding server management and considering our options, with the ultimate goal of providing you, our readers, with a user-friendly, efficient website. We will keep you up to date on developments as and when we have them.
