European SingStore updatedOver the last few months, the number of daily readers on PSU has grown rapidly, leading to an increased load on our servers which slowed down the website. We want to create the fastest and best possible browsing experience for our cherished users, so we scheduled a server upgrade to take place on April 21st.
Unfortunately complications arose, causing an extended period of downtime. We have worked nonstop to get operating at full speed, and I'm pleased to announce we're just about there.
We're extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we'll be doing all we can to avoid it happening again in the future. Fortunately now, though, the site should be running a lot faster, meaning you can get all your PlayStation news, reviews and content at much better speed.
We appreciate you're understanding and continued support.

Wow..... i am glad that that was an update. I thought my firefox was being stupid
i was worried that psu.com was getting taken down or something. but, it is much faster now to post and to change pages.
that explains y i couldint log in or enter the site on my ps3 browser thanx for the info i thought my ps3 was acting like an xbox

I really didn't like the downtime because I get ALL of my Playstation news on this site ONLY and not being able to get my news from PSU really sucked. I had to go to N4G for my news.
Next time PSU, give all of us a heads up before you schedule downtime so that we at least know what's going on. Post an article like this one whenever you plan downtime. However, I did notice that after I clicked on the link for this article, the page loaded up pretty quickly.
Dont let it happen again!!! It was like being stuck up at gun point by xcrap 3fixme. lol

well i kept getting a virus detection n my avast anti-virus every time i loaded the site up, its gone now, but what i pain in the derrier that was. glad t see everything is back up and runnin normally, we love you psu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know what was the worst part about the down time? When I finally got on, there was nothing worth reading :/// E3 can't come soon enough.
There is still malicious code riddled in here but we are close to bringing it up to standards so please be patient. The staff is far from done analyzing this and the admins are working hard with coders on this.
was the site hacked as well as a server change?
