Pearl Jam can't get enough Rock Band

It's time to dust off your Rock Band gear, throw a flannel shirt around your waist, and help create the ultimate live Pearl Jam set list. As if releasing a remastered version of the grunge god's inaugural album, Ten, to Rock Band wasn't enough, today Ten Club announced a new project for 2010.

Ten Club, MTV Games, Harmonix's Rock Band, and Rhapsody are teaming up to give Pearl Jam fans the ultimate game - the first ever fan-voted live set list. All you have to do is click on the live songs you like and open Rhapsody's playlist widget for that particular song. Once you've opened the widget, listen to the live song you like the best. The versions that are played the most will be deemed the best and entered into consideration to make the final set list.

No other details are available at this time, but it sounds like a completely new Rock Band release.

You know you'll see classics like Alive, Jeremy, and Daughter, but which songs would you like to see make the cut?

This is the way it should be; having DLC instead of releasing a Rock Band: [Insert Random Band Name Here]. But of course, that doesn't make as much money.

Okay... classic rock and such is fine and dandy...I mean, I'm aware that the bands of the past have set the tone for modern rock but seriously... I'm not asking for much when I beg and hope and pray for something more along the lines of August Burns Red .  It just sucks that in all the time between rb1 and now, all we've gotten that comes close to that is a few scattered releases of All That Remains (particularly their newer and toned down material) and 1 Underoath song.

Harmonix prides itself on catering  to its fans but really Harmonix? Do you? Because I've been one since Guitar Hero and I'm still waiting for you to throw us a bone here.

Its not like im asking for Rock Band: Punch-U-In-Teh Face-Music.  I just want a dlc pack of some heavier stuff.  August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, Destroy the Runner, Haste the Day, Parkway Drive maybe?  I mean isn't it safe to say that by Now...enough of us into this kind of music already have Rock Band?

    Just my two cents.

    Good morning people   :o)

where's the love for pearl jam? they are the forefathers of modern rock bands, and their music is still relevant and beautiful. all you little young punks should put down the vampire weekend and emo crap and listen to something real, with substance like the mighty alice in chains and pearl jam and seven mary three. young people grabbed onto green day and made them popular again because of american idiot. billie joe the singer is 37. come on now. google soundgarden, and then post a comment. check out dissident from pearl jam, then slam me.
