I just want to know if walmart is still doing the buy an 80gb ps3 reg price and get 10 free blu-ray plus 5 in the mail. sounds to good to be true and I checked their site and see nothing of the sort.

Some people refer to it as Black Friday because of the hectic nature in which consumers race to the stores for the best deals. However, there is also an answer that lies in an accounting context.
It's called "Black Friday" because it usually marks the point in the year where most Brick & Mortar stores break into the "black" on their financial statements, meaning they are now making a profit for the year. On financial statements, red numbers are for negatives and black numbers are for positives. So if a company is losing money in their net profit section, the numbers would be red.
Before the friday after the Thanksgiving holiday, nearly all physical stores have operating expenses, overhead costs and goods/materials costs that outweigh their profits. When you are operating at a net loss (aka losing money on your business for the month), it's considered that you are "in the red" because any negative profits are signified with red numbers. But then when the holiday season heats up and consumers are shopping non stop, they finally start to make back all of those expenses with revenue and start turning a profit, and typically "Black Friday" is the first day that their numbers get back into the black column.
