Certain Affinity announced this week that they are developing a Pirate-themed Real Time Strategy (RTS) title named Plunder for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
As the name suggests, your objective is to command your own pirate ship and use it to plunder various other vessels, in addition to capturing various towns and settlements. The game supports four-player spit screen and also allows the player to edit and exchange his or her own maps to play on.
For those unaware, Certain Affinity is a development studio formed by ex-Bungie developers (of Halo fame) based in Austin.
Plunder is currently scheduled to be released on the PlayStation Store (and presumeably Xbox Live Arcade) in June 2008.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available to us.

Awesome. I really need another Real Time Strategy (RTS), and even better, It has pirates.. arghh..!
Sounds good. If it can achieve that gameplay addiction that PixelJunk Monsters has then it will be great. And after this we need a ninja game to compliment the pirates
