Project Trico leaked trailer?

The Internet is abuzz today with a suspected trailer of Team ICO's Project Trico. The Japanese studio, led by designer Fumito Ueda, brought us such hit PlayStation 2 games as ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. If the trailer is authentic, we can at least expect a visually impressive game.
A trailer for Project Trico, the working title for the studios third game (the first on the PlayStation 3), was leaked by PlayStation LifeStyle. The trailer opens with a chain leading down into what appears to be a well. Ominous multi-colored eyes peer through the darkness, followed by a young boy being chased by a griffin-like creature. It seems this creature is the boy's friend, in a similar vein Falkor from The NeverEnding Story. The preview certainly carries elements of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
Check out the trailer below, we think you'll be impressed. A new trailer is expected at E3.

UPDATE: We've spoken to an SCEA representative who declined to comment on the above trailer (albeit did so rather nicely), so it appears that we'll have to wait until E3 to hear more about Team ICO's elusive third project.

This is footage that was shown behind closed doors atlast years E3 i think. i would expect to see something far more advanced this year. Not that this doesnt already look amazing!!

Did anyone else notice the arrows sticking out of the "griffin" when they enter the water....who is trying to fight them and how do they escape???
More atmosphere then other games...that is what Team ICO does!!!

Just this alne isnt what's going to "win" it for them. it's the complete package of announcements and information on close to a dozen PS3 games and PSP announcments (regardless of my hate for the PSPgo, it's still something that might excite the people that aren't already excited about PSP even though it risks alienating the people that DO have one already). Remember we're just seeing videos, not getting the full rundown of information about the games themselves. So if this video is a year old there's a chance the current version could be even better.

I hope they improve the boy, he looks too much like a cartoon. I mean i know its all fake, but the griffin looks real, while the boy looks like a cartoon. I am sure they will fix this, cause i loved SOTC.... Amazing game...

ICO & Shadow of the Colossus is on my Top 20 of best game I have ever played. Not only Team ICO makes Beautiful games but they tell a good Story in there games. There games are also good puzzle solving. The only thing bad I have to say about there games is that they are short. I hope this new one is longer than the previous. A Must Buy for me.

Looks legit ,and awesome ,to me.
The boy needs some work ,but I have heart the video is from 2008 so the game probably looks far better right now.
Fantastic news ,the game seems to have that special Team Ico magic all over it.

Fake.
At least, the music's fake. Type "Miller's Crossing" into Youtube and watch the trailer. The music may just be a placeholder for the time being, but that would mean that this trailer was made way before the game is ready for release. So it could be that this is pretty old, if it is real.

In case no one else did, I submitted this to Kotaku.
Once again, this team redefines emotion in games and WITHOUT DIALOGUE. This may not have been graphically up to par with the top games at the moment, but emotionally... Man.
