RUMOR: SOCOM: Confrontation bundle, Sony headset?

According to GangstaKiller26 from our very own PS3Forums, SOCOM: Confrontation will be coming bundled with an official Sony branded bluetooth headset.  Right now, this is just speculation and nothing has been confirmed 100%.  Fortunately, this does seem legit considering the demand for a first party headset has been growing within the last couple of months as gamers grow displeased with the Madcatz product currently offered.

We've included a list of specifications expected for the headset itself below.

If this rumor pans out to be true, it would give gamers a nice bundle opportunity for those who prefer to have a hard copy of the game instead of just downloading it from the PlayStation Network.  If more information is released about the product, including a confirmation, we'll keep you up to date on it.

    ahhh i got 3 bluetooth headsets already, plus the ps3 eye. just make the game worthy of the name Socom, thats alll i want.

    I would sell my existing bluetooth and buy this one instead, it looks nice =)

    This one looks very slick, but I'm pretty satisfied with my Jabra. I guess I'll see how much SOCOM is going to cost and I'll weight it out if it'll beworth the extra cash to have a sweet lookin headset.

    If this is true then I'm in. The headset quality on PS3 is nowhere near as good as the 360, although you could argue it becouse its wired as opposed to wireless. If this can match the 360 headset in quality then I'm definitely in.

    Oh yeah even better Socom is always a 1st day pruchase for me, the best online gaming experience from last gen. and i already have the Warhawk heaset, i could use another one.

     

    oh and that PS logo in the headset im so in for one, bring it on.

    man i got 2 headsets for christmas and this one looks sweet, well ill get socom and get this with it that bundle is a steal. hope this is true.

    i had a shi/ty btootheadset and broke and currently using playstation eye and i love SOCOM on psp so this is a must buy but havent herd alot about the new one...wanna official release date !!!

    Why can't they just be practical and make a damn headset that plugs into the mini usb slot? HOW HARD IS IT????!!!!! I would love to have a volume adjuster and an on/off button on the headset like my 360 one. I just don't get it.....

    Well, this article along with the possibility of a new Killzone 2 trailer is all pure speculation. I'm not a big fan of rumors, but I guess it's better than no news at all. I've played the demo of Socom when it was on the PS2, and I didn't really like it that much. I'm thinking that this game may be just a Online/Multiplayer game only just like Warhawk, but if this game has a campaign, I might buy it and give Socom another chance.

    Hopefully it will be a little more comfortable the then Jabra that came with Warhawk. I mean it is a good one but when playing for a few hours OH MAN does my ear hurt. Is there something that I could get for it like an adapter to make it fit in my ear better??

    even though i already have the jabra headset from warhawk i would like to have this one because it looks nice, i never played socom but heard they are good so i will pick this up when it realeases.

    socom is a must buy day 1 !!!!! who wouldn't buy the bundle for an extra $10 even if you have a headset or 2 already? its a steal

    I have two headsets. One from Warhawk and the other i bought (motorolla) but im sure ill end up getting this new one with SOCOM.
