Ratchet & Clank gets official release date

It’s official. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time will be available in the U.S. on Tuesday, October 27. In addition to the new packfront image, Sony has given us more details about the pre-order extras available at various retailers.

‘Discovery Package’ – Explore the Insomniac Moon with a special level that resembles the layout of Insomniac Games’ studio offices. A fan favorite, the Moon is filled with content that didn’t quite make the final game, sort of like deleted scenes on DVDs. The moon is also unlockable.

‘Power Package’ – Up your arsenal with an exclusive weapon skin for one of Ratchet’s weapons along with extra hit points and Ratchet’s brand new Cryo Mine Glove.

‘Bolt Package’ – Bolster your bolt count with 5,000 free bolts care of Ratchet’s most bolt-centric power-ups, the Bolt Magnetizer and Box Basher.

‘Space Package’ – Drift off into space with an exclusive hot rod skin for Ratchet’s ship, the Aphelion, along with 5,000 free bolts and an exclusive Ratchet & Clank PlayStation Home Avatar skin.

    so with these new boxarts, the clear part at the top is still there. doesnt this mean there is like 2 inches of just playstation logos. what was wrong with it on the side... anyways the actual image on the box looks good.

    The edges haven't been trimmed off so the top logo bar isn't quite as big as it looks there.

    Ok, the front has the word "Future", but it's missing from the spine. What's up with that?

    Will be gettin this just not sure when. :)

    I want to see an actual box with this whole new look for the cases. I think it looks cool, but it is not an actual case so hard to judge it completely.

    Damn you Sony, why are you changing the box art. Now my PS3 game collection will look weird and new games will look out of place. They have no marketing sense, the old boxes looked great, the new ones are terrible, TERRIBLE!

    Wow, wow couldn't they just keep that PLAYSTATION 3 logo on the cases, i hate the logo just looks terrible.

    @14&18 look just stop whining like little brats yeah i liked the original logo but i'll accept it. i for one have no problem with this new look yeah my collection is going to look weird but you know what i don't care both of you are going crazy for sony's logo sheesh man stop whining.

    Its not crazy, I just dont like it, I preferred the other "PS3" logo they had was MUCH Better. I am just saying  with the PS2 they never changed the whole look of the cases etc when they brought out the slim, its stupid and is gonna look mighty odd in my games collection!:(

     I'm so excited for this game and I can't believe more people aren't. And I really don't understand why people are complaining about the logoing get over it It's really not important and if you really think it is you have major problems.

    loved the series on ps 2 great game even on the ps 2 cant wait to see it on ps 3 should be fun for everyone :)
