Ratchet & Clank to return in 2009

According to Joystiq.com, Ratchet & Clank will be taking part in yet another adventure following their Quest for Booty next week. Upon completion of the PlayStation Network title, gamers will get a glimpse at yet another teaser that reveals the next installment of the franchise, which is set for release in Fall 2009.

It is still unknown whether this will be another PSN title or a full blown game like Tools of Destruction, however we'll be sure to keep you updated on the matter.

    I like how Insomniac is doing Resistance 06,  Ratchet 07, Resistance 08, Ratchet 09 and so on. Nice pattern!

    i kind of hope theyd start a new IP, it just seems theyve overdone the series in the past couple years. im a big fan of the series its just repetitiv, new IP 2009 and R3 2010

    Insomniac is a mean green game producing machine. :o - and its probably a sequel to Tools of Destruction.  They'd had two years, isnt that usually how long it takes for them to make games?

    I hope that Insomniac can somehow innovate the R&C series in 2009 (new Designscheme? Nonlinear Gameplay?). Tools of Destruction was an exact reincarnation of previous adventures with astounding graphics. I'm glad they started a new IP with Resistance, it added confirmation that Insomniac wasn't just some company playing it safe with yearly R&C games. Even so, I'm still hoping for an entirely new project in a different genre. Also: check out their podcast (The Full Moon Show)!
