Reminder: Square Enix announcement will "shock fans"

Just a reminder, Square Enix is set to make a major announcement at the DKΣ3713 Square Enix Event today in Japan. According to 1up.com podcast interview with Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto, the new announcement will have fans stunned.
"You can look forward to the upcoming invite-only fan event DKS3713, where we'll have a major announcement that will shock the fans in attendance," said Hashimoto.
In addition, 1up's Shane Bettenhausen previously stated, "[The] Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix's Japan event in two weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony."
We speculate that the announcement will fall within the realm of the Final Fantasy VII canon, either as Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete or quite possibly an announcement regarding a Final Fantasy VII remake or spin-off. Further strengthening that latter belief is this image that has been popping up on forums recently, claiming the oddly-named DKS3713 event is actually an anagram.
Nothing is official yet though, far from it in fact. Stay glued to your computers anyway however, as we'll be sure to notify you on whatever the announcement news may be as it happens.

if they make an ff7 remake or something along those lines, exclusive to ps3 i will be pleased, and the fact that the pic is an anagram makes sense considering it does look a little odd not saying it has something to do with ff7 or final fantasy in general for that matter but its really odd to name your confernce something like that

Its not going to be a remake announcement. What it probably will be however is an announcement of a game set in the world of Final Fantasy VII. In other words it'll probably either be a spin-off title exclusive to PS3 or another new Ip exclusive to PS3 along with the already announce One Goal Spirit exclusive to PS3.

the shocking news for me came before this stupid countdown... That this game was going to be developed for the xbox 360 too! Which means a shorter game thanx to the limitations of dvd! Usually when this kind of games become multiplatform... developers tend to work for the 360... Working less + shorter game = less stress and more money on their pocket. Developer dont care anymore bout integrity... they care bout money... ;)
