Resi 5 PS3 sales top 400k in Japan

Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 has now shifted more than 400,000 units on PlayStation 3 in Japan, according to the latest Media Create data.

The action horror sequel, which launched in the Land of the Rising Sun on March 12, has now drummed up approximately 410,000 sales in the region on Sony’s black box, outpacing its Xbox 360 counterpart in the process.

So far the game has turned in a solid performance around the globe, having topped the UK Charts for the past fortnight as well as outselling Irish rockers U2’s latest album.
