According to various sources, the Resistance 2 multiplayer beta has now gone live, with consumers reportedly receiving emails to download the beta application through the PlayStation Network.
Further details are unknown at this point; aside from the fact the service is currently only available in North America, with beta slots yet to be offered in Europe. Those of you unlucky enough to miss the opportunity needn’t worry, as there will be plenty of other opportunities in the future.
For more information, Insomniac Games has launched the Resistance 2 Beta website which users can access here.
Stay tuned as there are bound to be leaks of the beta over the course of the next few days.

What About the people who have Qore subscriptions? And what about the SOCOM beta (I'd rather have that).

Ok, I found out that this is a closed beta. Qore is "premium access to the OPEN beta", which means nothing by the way. PSU, I think you need to add "closed" to the title. I also found out that SOCOM: Confrontation has a closed beta going on right now, too.

I just want to take the time out to let everyone who was allowed into the private beta, know that it is in fact a "PRIVATE BETA" which means you are not allowed to talk about the beta, or leak information outside of the beta to anyone who isnt apart of it. Insomniacs Infected will be checking multiple boards across the internet looking for anyone who breaks the NDA. If we catch you leaking information we will report you to IG directly and opt for you to be banned from the beta permantely.
For those of you wondering and speculating how some got in and how others didnt get in. First off being an annual subscriber to Qore will get you in early to September beta, ATM the list that we were shown on how people got in, Qore had nothing to do with it.
If you already participate in the Home beta that also had nothing to do with it, and sorry to say but not all GAP members were accepted either.
The Infected of MyResistance.net were granted access, as were top members of both official PS forums and MyRes were selected. Then others were just randomly selected.
If you Main account on your PS3 had an invalid email address, has the age under 18, or doesnt allow you to receive information and flyers from Sony then you were delisted.
So for future references, if you want to get selected into Sony betas make sure your over 18, you have those squares check marked, and that you have a valid email address on your main account. Otherwise you will continue to miss out on beta invites.
See many of you in September for the public beta.
