Rumor: Splinter Cell: Conviction coming to PS3?

According to the rumors section in the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine, Ubisoft's Splinter Cell: Conviction – previously believed to be an exclusive to Xbox 360 - may now be coming to the PlayStation 3.

Conviction features an expanded game world, along with improved graphics, animations, and Artificial Intelligence. Unsurprisingly, the game recently ranked in our Top Eight Titles to Envy feature, which can be read here.

We've contacted Ubisoft for an official comment, so stay tuned.

    psn id: gingo... i think the splinter cell games have went severely downhill in recent years so i dont think this is a massive game for ps3 to get as the chances of it being anything other than a shoddy port are slim aswell

    i love Splinter cell series the last one on ps3 had issues mainly with lighting imo

    ill be honest i love splinter cell and really enjoy the online portion, but when i saw the video for this game it doesnt strike me as "improved graphics" infact it kinda looked bad. if it does come to ps3 i hope they spend some time getting everything right.

    i like the old splinter cells but idk about this one since it looks like sam fisher went all rouge

    This game looked great and I was annoyed when I heard it was 360 exclusive.  Glad to see it coming to PS3 as well.

    yea i remember ubisoft's explanation of refusing making ps3-version: "sony hasn't provided us with the proper tools for ai-algorythms on cell". So i guess it's ok now, moreover - the ps3 more likely will be the leading platform because it's much easier now to port from ps3 to 360 than vice-versa

    i don't like splinter cell games double agent looked kool but, turned out to be a let down for me. i'm sticking with the metal gear solid series for STEALTH ACTION!!!!

    Splinter Cell Conviction sems a very nice game!!!

    specialy bcz the online modes!!

    why would you want this game on PS3? lol Splinter Cell is not that good of a series anymore.

    dont really care if it does thats 1 less 360 exclusive actually iy should cuz 360 steals our titles all da time

    I think going multiplat would unsure more money for Ubisoft, unless Microsoft can pay em enough money to keep it exclusive. I mean Splinter Cell fans are spread across both systems so I think it would be smart to be on the PS3 as well.

    would kinda make sense it comming to ps3 since its gone back to the drawing board a few months ago and how the version showed couldnt be done on ps3, load of bull that i think

    yeah, the last good SC was chaos theory, then they just totally screwed up everything...The online was the best game i had ever played, then i try Double Agent, pure CRAP...unless this one is VASTLY improved, not even a rental......

    Who cares? it can remain a 360 exclusive, it shall never top the awesomness that is MGS4.

     Once more, proof that 3rd party "exclusives" are no longer in the cards this generations except for real exceptions that get paid for with a TON of money...

    People used to say this all the time about Sony, but with Bioshock and others like this title, why are people not screaming about how "Microsoft is losing all their exclusives!" :)

    Lets all cross our fingers aye... one less title I have to buy for my Xbox (i only buy exclusives or incredibly cheap games)

    I liked Double Agent on PS2, but on PS3 it's kinda meh. I haven't been following this since it was announced as 360 exclusive, so I guess we'll have to wait and see what they say.
