Capcom has allegedly let slip that it plans to release Street Fighter IV for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC this winter.

According to Kotaku, the publisher supposedly leaked the information by mistake on a nameless press site, which in turn was spotted by the folks over at JeuxFrance.

The highly anticipated fourth instalment in Capcom’s flagship series has been tipped to show up on the PS3/360 for some time now, although the company has yet to officially announce the move, instead focusing on its arcade debut this summer.

Street Fighter IV features a number of returning fighters from past instalments, including Ryu, Ken, Balrog, M. Bison, plus new combatants such as El Fuerte and Crimson Viper.

Stay tuned for further information as it breaks.

    They should have made SF HD Remix the priority, and gotten that out to us in time for the summer, so we can have that to play until SF 4 is ready. Silly Capcom ;

    Resurrection Rise was the only Fighting series that I have enjoyed on the PC. Street Fighter 4 may or may not tailor to the keyboard when it comes around, but we will not know for sure until it comes.

    The fact about this game is that it must have either every character from Alpha-3(Dead ones atleast as an unlockable) or an excellent storyline continuation which explains the nearly inexplicable which would be why they don't have every character in the game.

    That is only the beginning. Street Fighter II(pick your version) and Alpha were the only two with excellent gameplay. However, King of Fighters is coming out as well and that has really outdone SF over the past years with gameplay. The gameplay footage showed within one of the SF 4 trailers was not impressive. Once more, it did not have a good rhythm with the graphics.

    Capcom's sales have not been as great as they could have been outside of Devil May Cry 4 only because what they lost in PS3 Sales they made up for in 360 sales. The decision itself combined with the mass gamer frustration with big time companies such as Capcom and EA has had an effect on sales for such big time companies.  The success of the Playstation 2 and the higher costs of games has raised the expectations of gamers.

    It is up to the developers to perservere through any problems and excuses, recognize their timelines and learning curves for the systems and put out quality.

    Personally, I just don't see Capcom doing that with this game. So then, I will wait for King of Fighters.

    Maybe they should follow up with a 3rd strike and Alpha 3 remix after this game. Just milk it for all its worth.
