Siphon Filter:Omega Strain was open all this time? I always wanted to try that despite the so-so reviews. Oh well, maybe Siphon Filter will find its way to the PS3. And yes, you can play PS2 games onlne with the PS3. But you have to grab the little (and free) patch to make it possible...it's on the PS Store. This was one of he very first complaints about the PS3 waaaay at the beginning. The patch came really quickly, but no one talks about it much because anyone who cares got it 4ever ago.

Well, that was just a small list of games, but I think that SCEA's shutting down of certain game servers is just a way of nudging current PS2 owners to get a PS3. I think that one reason why some PS2 owners are still holding on to their PS2's and not getting PS3's is because PS2 games are still coming out and they're just content with playing PS2 games for now. Plus, the PS2's lifecycle will be about over in another year or two. I'm sure that games like SOCOM will be up and running until the PS2's lifecycle ends.

Getting rid of the servers of the games no one plays on, smart move! Microsoft turned off all of it, every Xbox title that was online.
