Additonal Info:
Ever wanted to literally be in a video game? Character customization has gotten us halfway there, with deeper and deeper systems arriving in many games now on the market. It's rare though that your true facial features are able to be accurately expressed via these systems. Rainbow Six Vegas 2 seeks to one-up the competition.
In RSV2, you can literally put your face in the game. With a profile picture and a head-on shot (taken with either a PS Eye or digital camera) “Vegas 2 will create an in-game model that looks just like you and can be used in both solo and multiplayer games.”
We're hoping this feature pans out better than the option that came with the original RSV on Xbox 360. The end result generated from the XBL Vision Camera pictures usually came out looking nothing like the player. We do assume however that Ubisoft has learned from their mistakes and improved the technology for this second installment, otherwise we speculate that they wouldn't include this feature at all. We'll have more for you on RSV2 soon.

by seeing this picture i don't see anything usual at all
sweet sweet sweet now none of us will look the same. Fing sweet
it would be kinda strange seeing myself dead on the floor. still i think i'll give it a shot
Yes, I read about this on Yahoo Games this past weekend,It sounds pretty cool.
they did this in the first R6V
Nice, although it might look a bit odd.
**** I'm sold. Having my face in Solo just sealed the deal.
First, STOP WITH THE DANG 1st COMMENTS! They're a waste of space and don't provide anything useful. And second, like this idea very much. Hope to by R6V 2 when it comes out.
man thats hot!!!!
Yeah if I can play solo or co-op and have my face in there I'm game.
Lol, thats awesome. Just another reason to buy it! :D Although it looks like they're just making a simple flap map to scale on the model... I'd much rather see something that would create a 3D model of your heard to stick in under teh helmet, that would be h3lla kewl and not out of this world. I've seen a video of some tech Sony showed off in Japan that did just that with some simple pictures you provide it. It was scarry how real it looked.
hmmm...i recall Tiger Woods 08 having this type of feature, only then you took a 2 pictures (one from the side and one from the front of your face) to increase the accuracy. it's been done before.
where can I find front and side profiles of a mudkip?
sorry, mlb 06 the show beat RBSV2 to it
sorry, mlb 06 the show beat RBSV2 to it
so they did this on the first RSV?
I bought the last years R6V, it wasn't the best, i might give this one a second chance. maybe. PSN ID: Lp47
Is anyone looking at the face saying "Is that Dave?" No. Why? Because the only time you see their face is when you're putting a bullet through it.
nice
I had the first title on PS3, and loved the single-player game, but the online was absolutely criminal.
I'd prefer that Ubi worked on getting the online up to scratch, rather than wasting time on gimmicks like this.
that picture doesnt tell me anything, i was hoping we could do several pictures and then place them left right etc then it could calculate. btw the background is not one coloured and its suprising that it didnt mess up some of the facial colours
psn id: gingo.... i like how the ps eye is being used in games so far especially burnout so i hope this comes up to scratch and actually works
cant wait to rent it
