Should Sony keep LittleBigPlanet beta content?

Attention all LittleBigPlanet beta testers, advocates, PlayStation 3 owners worldwide! Sackboy needs your assistance on a matter of considerable importance.

The LBP beta is scheduled to end on October 12, and Sony wants you to tell it what it should do with all the levels created and published by beta testers so far. Would you rather dump the lot and start the level-designing community from scratch in the retail release? Or would you rather preserve these early blossoms for posterity?

Either way, get that big ole' butt down to the PlayStation discussion forum and cast your vote.

LittleBigPlanet will be dancing its way into your living room on October 24.

i think in all honesty that they should just scrap it all. i mean, half the levels ive played aren't that "special". i mean yeah theres the rollercoaster one and some spooky castle one that were pretty good, but when u play these after playing ones created in the FULL game with LOADS more objects/gadgets/etc available to you, these will be laughable.

what they should do is put the beta stuff in a different section and start fro m sctratch on another section

psn id: gingo.... they should definitely keep the stuff from the beta, if anyone has seen Little Big Computer video on Youtube, the time and effort that went into that is insane and it would be a shame for the guy to lose his work

I hope they keep them and let beta testers keep their progress and such.  We could always update our maps later with better stuff, but I've seen some great levels and it would be a shame to let them go to waste.  Also, I've spent hours making mine and I would really hate to see them trashed.  Also, for people who don't want to create maps, it would give them loads of levels to play on from day 1, or ideas for others to work from.  I say keep 'em.

They better keep the levels, they are some truly amazing ones. Besides, I probably won't be done my KH level and I was hoping I would upload it and copy and edit it when the game offically releases.

...pay attention psu the US beta client was never intending to delete the user content, thats only for the earlier UK beta client. all the stuff being made via US players will be saved into launch

@terminator - it would be great to see the levels again however its only a beta so everything you had in the game will be lost and needs refreshing, cause of the trophies.

I think Sony should put  LBP as a demo which would have people who couldn't try out would have a chance for a tryout before buying.

  33. Devil_Dog

    • 6:15am BST - October 9th, 2008

I have the beta and would hate to lose my levels...I think sony should keep the levels testers created on their "create a level" moon and scrap all the published versions, this way testers can start fresh along with everyone that didnt get the beta code, but also edit their already created levels with the new objects/gadgets etc. and publish it if they wish.
