Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution gets street date

Civilization has been a huge hit with PC users for years now and though this isn't going to be the first console release of Civilization, it'll be the first console exclusive version.  Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution will be coming to the PlayStation 3 console on June 3. 

Those unfamiliar with Civilization, the idead behind it is to build up a civilization from scratch and take over the world with them.  You can achieve this in two fashions, either through brute force or through cultural influences.  The option is completely up to you, but plenty of strategy will come in to play for it to be successful.

For those of you without a PlayStation 3 yet, this may be the time get one.  This game may not move consoles, but it'll certainly add to the reason to get one.

    Ooh, early summer I like it. This will be a great game for the console. I really look forward to picking this up.

    wait when you said exclusive to consoles, and then that its a reason to get a ps3, that doesnt mean ps3 exclusive .... right? *crosses fingers* surely it has to be coming to 360 too?

    Never could get into this game. Just isn't my type. But at least it looks nice.

    Awesome.  The Civilization games have been a lot of fun on pc, and I'm sure they'll be good on the ps3 too, as long as keyboard and mouse is enabled *crosses fingers*

    There should be mouse and keyboard acess. I c no reason why not. I hope the game plays as well on the PS3 as PC.

    yaaaaay! i saw the trailer 4 this game and it looks exellent! i hope it lives up to it potential, i was also wonderin if it was a ps3 >console ver,< exclusive, AND IT IS! YAYA!

    It should be mentioned that this game has been modified to consoles.. what this means in real life is a bit uncertain. But from the forums it seems that it has been modified to fit the pace of the consoles. It is not a direct conversion of the Civilization from the PC.

    Civilization: Revolution is NOT a PS3 exclusive, it's also planned for Xbox 360...

     

    But I guess it will be great. Looking forward to it!

    psn id: gingo... ps3 is in dire need of some good RTS games so hopefully this lives up to standard
