Silver PlayStation 3 to be Japan exclusive

With the silver PlayStation 3 console scheduled for release in Japan during the month of March, Sony Computer Entertainment America has come forward announcing that their is no plans to bring the console to North America.  This will probably come to no surprise to most of us, considering Japan seems to always get the bountiful colors of consoles made available only to them.

Though there are some places where you can get your PlayStation 3 customized here in North America whether it be online or someone you know, we feel maybe Sony should start acknowledging our desire for different colored consoles.

If something changes with this, we'll let you know as quickly as possible.  Sorry for those who were anticipating the possibility of release here in NA.

    i really only want the white one other then that im content with black.

    yea the white ps3 looks better than the silver one although i like the black the most....some people don't want  the ps3 to be the same as everyone's else

    I think black looks the best and the white looks pretty good too, but I think silver is ugly.

    Seriously I'm sick of Japan getting all the exclusive brand stuff. Send it to the US and the UK! A Black and Chrome PS3 would be sick too.

    I wish they made different colors for each sku. Probably end up with a rainbow when it's all said and done.

    I think a white would be great.. but then again; i already own one. So its a bit weird when i hear people say "would have liked another colour".. so what? You're gonna sell your black one to buy a silver one? ... Okay.

    It makes perfect sense...Sony isn't worried about the white xbox 360 in Japan, because they aren't selling at all in japan. Sony is bringing the white version to the US to compete with the xbox 360.

    while i dont think this is very fair, or good for competition for the xbox 360's customization things (like those different casing things etc.) i like my black and silver ps3, but i thougt of a couler sceem for it, wat about, instead of white and silver, they had white and black where the silver goes.

    yea why the heck (cant say a bad word lol) does japan get the best stuff, its the u.s. and europe that give sony the most money. what the heck give the big countries somthing good. im sick of the crapy updates on the stores for the us and europe come on sony

    Good,cuz i really HATE that silver colour,but too bad for all the ppl who were lookin' forward to it.
