Slant Six adds to SOCOM: Confrontation's v1.30 patch features

SOCOM: Confrontation's release was anything but smooth. However, Slant Six has done everything in their power to slowly return the sensational, tactical shooter to top form. The upcoming 1.30 patch will fix a lot of the issues the community has cried out for including: transparent scoreboards, Trophy support and SOCOM Awards. Continuing on the plan of listening to the community, Slant Six is also releasing D-PAD lean controls through the 1.30 update. Users will still have full control to lean via the motion controls, but utilizing the D-PAD for leaning allows the lean to be more predictable.

We've included videos below of the transparent scoreboards and D-PAD leaning.

Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be set, but we'll be sure to update you once it is announced.

how bout they add the stuff on the back of the box first....... EVEN WITH THE PROBLEMS SOCOM IS THE BEST SHOOTER OUT, DONT BELIEVE THE LIES, GO RENT IT AND YOU DECIDE.    IT IS BETTER THAN COD4 or COD5 ONLINE GAMEPLAY. IT IS REALISTIC AND TACTICAL.

Socom is alright.  Too many runners, gunners, campers and glitchers when I've played.  COD5 online (coop & mp) is the ticket for me right now.

yeahh socom is alright and everything..... but before i get a freakin useless transparent scorboard... i would actually like it if they actually added the features that were listed on the box that were not in the game..... that would be nice honestly

Got the headset bundle. Best $60 ever spent. The game is better than all the negative publicity its getting.. way better. Move along CoD:WaW. Its SOCOM time!

@5 MGO is awesome.  But in a lot of ways it just a way (a VERY COOL way) for hardcore fans to stay in the Metal Gear world after experiencing that awesome story.  Good for SOCOM too, by the way.

I'm here to say anyone who doesn't like this game and likes TPS games probably hasn't even played the game. The reviews for the game we're bad, even on PSU, and they focus too much on the launch. If people focused on the launch of World of Warcraft they would have gave it severly bad scores. Additionally, I was an avid fan of MGO but SOCOM is better in almost everyway (besides MGOs leveling system).

    Effortless is right.

There is not and never has been an online game that could stand up to Socom IMO.

Slant6 did right by adding the lean/peek to the D-pad.....Sixaxis (although a nice touch) can be difficult simply because you cannot separate the X-axis from the Y-Axis and change their sensitivity separately, leading to either an undersensitive X-axis or over sensitive Y-axis. I just hope the allowed the option for peeking over/under objects as well with the D-Pad ( that was a very nice touch IMO).

Now, as far as I am concerned, Socom only needs the return of the traditional Socom FPS mode & it would be complete.

psn id: gingo... its a pity these problems weren't found before the release, hopefully by the time it comes out in UK all the problems will be obsolete

Socom is great it does have its problems.  I had bought it for the blue tooth which was worth it on its own.   Now I play the game and i do enjoy it alot.
