According to creative art director Nicolas Doucet, Sony's London division has been hard at work lately. After putting the finishing touches on EyePet, which still won't be released in North America until 2010, Doucet revealed to GameSpot that Eight Days and The Getaway 3 haven’t been shelved after all. And now Doucet has shed some light on the possibility of a new IP.
Nicolas was asked if Sony’s London division had another game in development to which Doucet simply replied with a smile and a "yes."
Reviewing the interview in its entirety, it can be gleaned that it may be another altered reality game that might even make use of the upcoming PS3 motion controller.
We'll be sure to keep you informed of any additional details as they unfold.

Please, no more teasing. We all want 8 Days and The Getaway 3 but to have these little bits sneak in and then having them taken away is just torture. I really do hope they'll see the light of day someday soon.

Wow, I can't believe 8 days hasn't been taken off completely. That's one of many games I wanted to play back when the Playstation 3 was introduced. The Getaway is meh-ish, I wasn't a fan of the first two, hopefully if they ever make the third one, it will be an improvement.
I also await with anticipation for the new IP. -

The problem with this interview is that it does not confirm anything about Eight Days or The Getaway 3.
Yeah they still have the games sitting around and might still see a release date but they dont say they're still working on them, they dont say that these games will ever actually have a team pick them up again. Heck they have another game after Eyepet which means work on those games will be delayed even further. So dispite the fact that the games still "exist", we're still no closer to ever seeing them released.
