Sony of Japan has revealed that Factor 5’s Dragon title Lair will be receiving analogue control support via a free update later this month.
In addition to the above, the update will also introduce a targeting icon, along with DualShock 3 support.
The company also confirmed it is releasing a number of other downloads, allowing gamers to download the Wind Dragon and Poison Dragon for use in all of the game’s stages. A couple of themes will also be offered, free of charge.
The updates are set to go live on April 17. It is currently unknown whether these updates apply to regions beyond Japan as of yet.

Maybe I should give Lair a Chance, and buy or rent it when the update is released

I'll borrow it off someone when t becomes updated. Motion sensing controls in a game like this can get really tiring on the arms! ;)

Too bad they're releasing the update next to GTA4... this game is going in the bargain bin pretty soon. Although, I'll probably play through it again. I had no problems with the controls or the targeting system... but it'll be nice to have the option to use the analog stick.

I loved all the art department of this game, and i liked the controls minus the 180º maneuver, every time i tried to make it, the dragon sprinted foward XD.
Anyways great news, I hope that people apreciatte more the game in the future, but maybe the bad impresion was only in the beggining and, as always, in the forums, because the game was anounced as one of the first platinum games of PS3

Lair was a good game even with the Motion Controls to me and it's a shame that the reviewers killed the game. If Lair had the analog controls for the whole game, I'm sure that Lair would have got a 8/10 or higher. The visuals in Lair are just gorgeous. Lair really isn't a long game... it's probably about the same length as Heavenly Sword, however, if you want to unlock everything in the game, you have to go back and re-do old missions and get a faster time, do more combo attacks for a higher score, and whatnot, so it does have some replay value.
To be honest, I'm so used with the Sixaxis controls in Lair that I don't even think that I could get used to the Analong controls for Flight. The Sixaxis controls for flight just seems natural to me and it's easy to get used to once you practice.
The only thing that I didn't like about Lair is that it was set-up in missions and you had to select your missions from a screen. I would have liked it more if Lair was a free-roaming game and you could fly to each of your missions in the game. If Factor 5 is thinking about doing a sequel for Lair, I hope that they implement free-roaming, but other than that, Lair is a very good game even though it's short. The Boss Battles in Lair are pretty nice too... just writing this comment is making me want to go back and play Lair again because I haven't played it since I first got the game went it first came out and since I beat it.
