PSU Interviews Bethesda's Pete Hines on Fallout 3At the Leipzig Games Convention 2007, Sony set their standards high for European sales and the rate of sales for the PlayStation 3.
“We want to move the installed base of the PS3 from the present 1.35 million PS3's to five million units by the end of March,” said SCEE President David Reeves. A sale such as this would practically correspond to a net increase of 3.65 million PS3's, definitely quite a feat.
But recently, with all the newest starter packs and bundles ready to be released for Europe, on top of the amazing PVR functions that would make the console the best choice as the center of media entertainment, this feat becomes much more of a practicality.

I dont see why they couldnt reach that goal. Like the article says, with the new PVR functionality, Blu-ray player, oh and it also plays games. What reason would you have for not getting one?
psn id: gingo.... its quite a big target but i'm sure that with the plethora of great games coming out sony will achieve this
yea when the 'real' games come out, sony might do more than just achieve their target.
Don't get your hopes up guys, because i remember that Sony wanted to reach 3 million worldwide by the end of their fiscal 2006.
i think they can reach that.
That target is low - if they cant get to 4 million something is horribly wrong.
March? MGS4? I don't see a problem at all
