Sony surveying users on PSP2 features?

Sony is allegedly in the process of seeking feedback in regards to what consumers would like to see in a possible successor to the PlayStation Portable.

The survey, which found its way into the hands of Kotaku.com, requires participants to rank a selection of features from the least to most desirable, among which includes support for social networking, keyboard, blue-tooth, touch-screen, a hard drive and an e-comic/book download service.

While this hints that the above features could conceivably be in the pipeline for PSP2, we’d like to remind readers that Sony has repeatedly denied that a successor to their trusty handheld is in development. As such, take this with a pinch of salt until we hear otherwise.

Ill second the additional analogue stick, think vibration could be fun aswell... aslong as it can be turned off, bluetooth, touchscreen, tilt sensors and maybe a built in camera would be good aswell...  All that on top of a graphics overhaul would be great.  As for design i like the PSP as it is!!

What I would change is simple, I think the PSP design is great right now just a things:

Second analog, more ram, 32G internal flash, improved graphics like the iPhone, a download store for PS2 games on the run, Bluetooth. Most of all, better support  for PSP designed games, it has been awhile since I have been excited for a PSP game but now Locoroco 2 is coming out!!

Not much to ask for but I think it is possible.

Id prefer better wifi, something like 802.11N or G, not B as thats too slow

Maybe wifi, like the iphone, so if your nowhere near a wifi hotspot just use the one built into the PSP, saves hunting for one.

What would make me buy more games(i only have 3 and I bought the PSP from launch) is... A second analog stick and improve the analog stick precision (more movement).  I want console input precision in portable gaming.  Playing GTA on the PSP was not fun at all to me because of the input.

PSP 2 needs more ram, built in HDD, 2nd analog stick and a next gen portable disc format *cough Blu-ray "cough. It doesn't need touchscreen because it will be used as gimmick (s''':ty DS games) plus it shouldn't copy the Iphone which thinks its better than the PSP but PSP completely pwnz

i thought sony decided not to go ahead with a PSP2. but it seems now they want it to be launched.. my only guess if they fix the UMD over something new that would boost sales, since the UMD movies are not really selling it need to fix that problem. touch screen would be good. a 2nd anolog and bring games out that will sell huge.

It dosent have to be an PSP2. It's also likely that these are features they're looking at for a PSP 4000 instead. many of these features do not require the system hardware to have anything more than minor changes.

books, social networking, bluetooth and a hard drive are things that could simply be added to the current PSP.

what I want the most is dual analog!!! other stuff would include: built in HDD, fully BC with PSP games (and memory sticks), retain the same screen size but make it touch screen. and get video/audio codecs from PS3. oh and double the amount of memory as the PS3. the PSP has 32-64 (the latter being twice as much as the PS2)

Well remember that SONY denied the fact that they were making a PSP2; all this basically means is that they are making one lol. They gotta learn to hide their secrets better...

My biggest problem with the psp is the location of the power switch.  When playing GOW I always accidentally turn it off.  If they changed the location of the switch on the psp 2, I would buy it just because of that.

A right analog stick is all I want. The shape of the PSP is almost perfect, and a touch screen dose not sound like fun to me.
