Sony is to announce a new 80GB PlayStation 3 model for the Japanese market at the Tokyo Game Show this week, according to the folks over at IGN.com
According to the report (via the latest issue of Famitsu), this latest SKU will include a single DualShock 3 pad, and will retail for approximately JPY 39,800 – the same price as the current 40GB model.
The machine will be available in three colours: Black, White and Silver.
Furthermore, the platform holder will also be bundling the machine with two DualShock 3 pads and a copy of Media Molecule’s upcoming LittleBigPlanet, which forms part of the "PlayStation 3 LittleBigPlanet Dream Box.” The bundle will set you back JPY 44,980.
Also on the cards is a limited release bundle including a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Spec III, which recently saw release in Japan as an online update last week. The game will also be available as a download and on Blu-ray disc from October 30.
Stay tuned for more Tokyo Game Show coverage here at PSU in the coming days.

What a slow news day.. tomorow is TGS right? And btw. Why does Japan get the white and silver PS3's?? Thats crap lol. Even though I got my PS3 with BC and card readers with 4 USB ports backn early 2007.. its black. I wanted a silver one but thought they were cancelled or something.
