Ubisoft announced today that it would be bringing the highly anticipated Soul Calibur IV to Europe on July 31, 2008 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The release date means PAL gamers will receive their version of the upcoming brawler a mere two days after the North American version on July 29, as reported yesterday.
Developed by Namco Bandai, Soul Calibur IV features online play for the first time in the series, and introduces a plethora of new content in the form of new characters, additional gameplay mechanics and multiple game modes such as Story, Arcade, Tower of Lost Souls, Training and many more.
Additionally, gamers will be able to take control of one of two iconic characters from the Star Wars series; Darth Vader, exclusive to the PlayStation 3 release, or Master Yoda, playable in the Xbox 360 version.
Stay tuned.

Although I'm not in europe, this is good news in that finally a date has been made. It's always good to know that. Good for them that they don't have to wait months or more. I can't wait to get this game, online play is going to be awesome!

@jicaley Ditto about Darth Vader. Does that mean we PS3 owners are on the dark side? -
