The chaps at Xbox Evolved have got their hands on a heap of Modern Warfare 2 footage for your viewing consumption, taken from the first nine minutes of the hotly anticipated Activision shooter.
The video can be seen below. Needless to say, we advise you to hit the ‘back’ button on your web browsers if you don’t want to spoil anything for yourselves. For everyone else, enjoy.
Modern Warfare 2 will be hitting store shelves worldwide from tomorrow. Activision are shipping us a copy at some point this week, so we’ll have a review up as soon as humanly possible.

Same old format nothing new, looks the same this is getting very stale glad i'm not silly enough to buy this over priced over hyped sorry state of a game

graphics are about the same, a little better.
story so far is interesting, the way they set it up is a little more diverse than MW1
the multiplayer is what makes it different and even at that its only slight differences, but they're good... good improvements on an already good game.
plus the maps are really nice.
basically anyone who says this game is garbage or it sucks etc, is an opinionated idiot. obviously the game isn't garbage or else it wouldn't be up for most copies sold in such and such time. if you dont enjoy the game then thats fine and state that, but just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean it's garbage.

You can KEEP this game! Yes... it will be good. But how they handle the PS3 fan base for the past two games, I can't support them. I will be getting M.A.G! I like the game and the outline of it. MW2 will be a game with updated look and new maps to MW1. No hater, just when a dev is still showing more love to xbox at this time like (valve sorry a.s.s.e.s) I cant show and love. There just was a commercial on tv for xbox where they had mw2 with it and said it can only be played better on xbox. Now, I know it might sound small, but it takes two to put that out!

thats a Wal Mart commercial but yeah IF or Activision one had to sign off on it which is bull cuz its an fps no matter where you play it its just the same thing youve been playing for years i for one will rent this off Gamefly because the story is so short and i dont see the appeal of alot of FPSs online the only two ive ever really liked was UT3 and Far Cry 2

I think my 1st comment was a little harsh as i loved Modern Warfare but from what i've seen its nothing special its not like its taking the franchise anywhere new and the game runs without dedicated severs and on match matching which PC owners are very unhappy about

Skipping this game, i'll rent it instead. These COD games are always over hyped. It look's nice and all, but hardly any different from the first MW. But hay, what do you expect, they pop out these COD's once a year. :P I'll stick to Killzone 2 instead.

until the singleplayer is fixed, its quite a failure of a game. killzone deserves alot more praise in my opinion, amazing graphicss, gameplay, and the enemy AI is the best iv seen. even on easy level you were punished for thinking you were rambo. the hardest level on cod4 throws in random people popping out of nowhere to up the difficulty. very sad

Played the first 8 or so levels of the game, absolutely awesome so far!
For the idiots who regurgitate the same BS "I'll just skip this and stick to Killzone 2/ Uncharted/[insert PS3 exclusive here],,," how about you stfu and decide after you've played the game?

Agreed! I like all the other games you mentioned, but it isn't stopping me from buying this game. I don't get why people feel threatened by this game. Probably because alot of games got pushed back due to it's release? I could have easily said that Resistance 2 was just the same old and skipped(probably should have too because R1 was better), but i'm assuming that argument isn't valid because it's a PS3 exclusive :)

talk about spoiler alert. ill tell you. roach dies, ghost dies, you rescue price, soap and price kill shepard because hes a traitor. and the bad russian guy lives. you have an under water mission, and a deesert and snow blizzard sniper mission :D - buzz off it people, its a mental game 10/10

great game!
the story is great so much action
this game will for sure give you days of trying to beat the story 100% took me five days to beat it on veteran playing on and off for about 3 hours at a time! but still not done!
all these twist and turns and the end is great!
online is great as well so much more customization its crazy!
MUST GET FOR EVERYONE!

Alright PSU...ga ahead and give this game a 9.7. Because i been on it all afternoon, and Gah Dan, this game is intense!!! I was lucky enough to get it at 9 am...in Japan! Everyone on Yokota, Yokosuka, Okinawa, Korea, were all on PSN/Live! The single player sits side by sid with Uncharted 2, the upgrades on the IW 4.0 engine are clear! The gunfights are edge of your seat, i mean i was sweating on my seats edge like I just got done with PT! Yes my PS brethren, its that good!!!

The visuals aren't the same as MW1 at all. All textures are alot higher resolution, the animations are alot smoother and the game runs just as smooth as MW1, which in conclusion means that it's a great improvement from MW1. The devs have also pointed out the improved LOD and texture abilities they've added to the game engine this time around. And it certainly shows.

i beat the game in a single day ( 9 - 2). there has to be more to it. thats only 5 hours. it was still pretty cool and im moving onto online now but........... to short and you never even kill makarov.

it can't be possible for a game with a 4 hour campaign to win game of the year and break box office records of any kind can it? surely not. most ps1 games have a longer story mode than that i'd imagine. and all the poor guys without online that pick up this game, thats a disgrace. and don't start with PC users, they got uber shafted. ever since kane and lynce and assasins creed, i vowed never to jump on the hype train again, no matter what game it is,particularly mediocre ported games.
