Square Enix reveals E3 lineup

We might as well get the most important question out of the way right off the bat. Did Square Enix announce Final Fantasy XIII as part of their E3 lineup? The answer is no. Now that that's out of the way, we can move on to discuss what has been confirmed officially for E3 out of the SE camp.
For the PlayStation Portable, Square Enix plans on showing off two remakes from the Star Ocean franchise with First Departure and Second Evolution. The only other relevant title to Sony's platforms is The Last Remnant which will more than likely be displayed on behalf of the Xbox 360 due to the delayed release of the PlayStation 3 version of the title.
One thing worth noting is that FFXIII can still make an appearance at the event and it wouldn't be too shocking to see it pop up during the SCEA Press Conference on Tuesday morning. Outside of this happening though, gamers will probably have to wait until the Tokyo Game Show to get any new information about FFXIII.
We'll have full coverage of the SCEA Press Conference for you guys as it happens. So if the title happens to show its face, we'll be sure to let you know.

"...The Last Remnant which will more than likely be displayed on behalf of the Xbox 360.." Ok WTF SE, you are starting to scare me here. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. In my opinion SE is not the same company it used to be. I've been playing Square RPG's since FF II on the super nintendo. I just hope that this isn't a sign of things to come.

I'm gonna be totally honest, this is just plain bullsh!t. Ever since they announced all this exclusive crap for 360, I've been pi55ed off at Square. I was fine with waiting for the slightest good game by them, but now they're just working to impress those with only 360's. This is crap, and I'm REALLY starting to get mad. Cut the sh!t Square, 'cause I'm sick of it. Honestly, they're totally changed now. A year ago, their whole intentions were totally clear and we knew what was happening. Now all that seems to be going on is nothing except working on stuff to make Microsoft happy, because they were obviously paid by them. Are they even PLANNING to give us an actual good game anytime soon? I hope I"m not the only one enraged by them now

square enix should just come clean and say "M$ have paid US a s**t load of money to make all new title games for 360 and to delay, delay and delay FFXIII TILL THE NEXT XBOX COME OUT SO IT COULD FIT ON XBOX AND THEN IT END UP BEING MULTIPLATFORM OR MOST LIKELY BE A XBOX EXCLUSIVE"

I almost completely agree with Jamison, although I won't go as far as to say Microsoft paid them off. But I completely echo the sentiments of his in that Square Enix seems to be completely silent on their intentions witht his generation of consoles, and going by actions it sure seems that they favor the 360. It seems like a slap in the face of all people who have been loyal to the PlayStation brand.

Did you guys evwr thing maybe they're not ready to show anything about FFXIII? Just because they're not showing FFXIII doesn't mean they're betraying Sony. They still have the PSP section. But I am extremely disappointed at the fact there are no FFXIII news and even more disappointed at the fact there are no Kingdom Hearts news.

Just cry a little more, i have never in my whole life seen such gamer's whine and cry. It is kinda sad. Sony is not the big dog anymore so they can't throw their weight around like they used to, just get used to it. They will show it when they are ready, if they showed some early footage and it wasn't finished and up to par. You guy's would cry that it didn't look as good or whatever.<--------It happen's i have seen it over and over.

Are we even gonna see ff13 and ff vs 13 this year,im starting to doubt it,to be honest when we look bk at this generation of consoles it aint gonna be anything to shout about, with a cr@p 360,a ps3 the devs r too tight to develop for cause they say its too hard and the pc market not making anything amazing, it looks like im just waiting for the next gen of consoles to come out and do things right.i think microsoft are ruining things by keeping there old dvd 360 alive by buying exclusives.....come on sony buy out capcom n square enix at least.

The only reason they are developing for the psp is because ms doesnt have a portable system yet. But I am sure microsoft is trying hard to create one that breaks just as frequently as thier xbox. When this ms "180" comes out, dont even think of getting an rpg on your psp. They chose their camp. We all lose because it cost more to develop for the ps3 than the xshat. Pure and simple , It all comes down to the rate of return on your investment. This is why xbox has more games.

I still believe in what I said earlier: ms is doing anything they can to keep Japanese RPGs off of the PS3, end of story. Once they start releasing them for Sony's platform, ms days of dominance will be numbered. And yes, someone may quote me on that.

If Final Fantasy 13 isn't at Sony's Press Event during E3, then they've also confirmed Final Fantasy 13 for Square-Enix's PlayStation 3 Party event thing in August where it will be shown. Then there is TGS as well.
But still August even if its been confirmed, is a long way away and I'd rather see it at Sony's Press Event. I hope that it is there!

What makes this really obnoxious isn't that they're "betraying" Sony, but rather, they aren't really showing anything of value at all.
Have they just been sitting around twiddling their thumbs the past year? If all they've got to show for that is The Last Remnant then something is wrong.
