Square Enix has confirmed that it’s PlayStation Portable title Star Ocean 2 Second Evolution will be released in Japan on April 2, priced at JPY 4,800.

Originally released on the Sony PlayStation in July 1998, Second Evolution features a selection of new content including all new battle scenes, animation, character designs and full voice over for key events.

Consumers who have pre-ordered the title will receive a special bonus DVD containing promotional footage for upcoming titles including the highly anticipated Star Ocean 4. The official website for the game can be viewed here.

A western release has yet to be announced, but no doubt we’ll hear something in the near future. Stay tuned.

^ Confusing wording I guess.  I didn't really like SO2 that much anyways.  I wonder if they'll port Crisis Core to the PS2 ever.  I don't have a PSP (and don't plan on buying one), but I want Crisis Core.

I don't think they will port Crisis Core to the PS2, might have it available on PSN just like SO2 (just a guess).
