Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will be releasing the summer's hottest comedy on Blu-ray this December.
Superbad, a hugely popular box office movie, will be released day and date with its standard definition DVD debut on December 4th. In the latest issue of Home Media Magazine, there is a double listing for this film, meaning that there may be a special edition of the film as well. However, there has been no confirmation at this point of the video and audio specs, nor special edition details.
Be sure to check back for any new information as it becomes available.

i thought it was the funniest movie ive seen in years. its a must buy for me. and chris, blu-rays play in color on sdtv, i actually did a comparisson between my pirates 2 dvd and my pirates 2 blu-ray and the colors where def. more vibrant on the blu-ray even on a sdtv.

^ I heard that the beginning of the film was in black and white, so I skipped on further into the film. It was still black and white. i will go and try it again now though...I'll post back here when I see what happens.
EDIT: All black and white, even the title screens etc. Hmm...

the titles are done in black and white and so is the menu screen. the credits at the beginning after bond shoots the man on the floor are the first things in color for the entire film. if thats not in color than you do have a problem.

sorry, i couldn't help you out more. ive got a 20" toshiba SDTV and all my BDs are in color. im guessing you have it hooked up via composite cables and have your settings to output via composite at 480i. thats the only thing that comes to my mind on what the problem could be.

i think the Cross color reduction fixes the Sd ISSue right?....either way, step out of the 90's and get a HDTv..lol... and who said anything about buying movies?....Netflix bro... but who knows.... i find it hard to belive that an sdtv could even remotely support the 16.77 million colors per frame.... i don't see this as an indication to fix the problem, rather get a $200 computer monitor instead of a $200 Sd tv.... Xmas is on the way!

I'd get this movie on Blu-ray and DVD just so I could rip a copy to my PSP.
