Sierra Entertainment announced today that The Bourne Conspiracy would be released in Europe on June 27, 2008.

Developed by High Moon Studios, this videogame adaptation of the popular movie trilogy will feature its own unique story in an effort to remain "distinctively original,” and cast players in the shoe of familiar protagonist, Jason Bourne.

The game has a particular focus on brutal hand-to-hand combat, and features a number of Quick Time Events (QTEs), requiring players to push the correct sequence of buttons as they appear on screen in order to dispatch their foes.

Players will have access to a variety of firearms and will also be able to take part in a high speed chase through the city of Paris in an upgraded Mini Cooper.

“Wrought with action, combat, elaborate escape scenes and untold story, the Bourne series is making a natural progression into the interactive medium,” commented Al Simone, Sierra Entertainment's Senior Vice President of Global marketing.

“We’re pleased to announce that this June gamers will have the chance to experience the dangerously exciting aura and frenetic pace inherent in the Bourne franchise.”

The Bourne Conspiracy is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
