British rock legends The Who will be receiving the Rock Band treatment later this month when a collection of their greatest hits will be released for the popular music simulation title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Collaborating with guitarist Pete Townshend and front man Roger Daltery, MTV Games and Harmonix have put together The Best of The Who: Rock Band Edition, which includes a selection tracks featuring the likes of "Amazing Journey," "Baba O'Riley" and "Sea & Sand.”
"We're really pleased to have our songs featured in Rock Band," commented Daltery. "It allows our established fan base to interact with our music in a way that's fresh and exciting, while also exposing our songs to new audiences."
"I'm a fan of Rock Band. I play the game with my son and girlfriend and love the way it brings different generations together through music,” added Townshend. “I like the idea that people of all ages will be having fun playing our songs."
The full track list is as follows:
• "Amazing Journey"
• "Baba O'Riley"
• "Behind Blue Eyes"
• "Eminence Front"
• "Going Mobile"
• "Leaving Here"
• "My Generation" (Live at Leeds)
• "Real Good Looking Boy"
• "Sea & Sand"
• "Summertime Blues" (Live at Leeds)
• "Who Are You"
• "Young Man Blues" (Live at Leeds)
The Best of the Who: Rock Band Edition will be available for purchase via the PlayStation Store (and Xbox Live Marketplace) on July 15, priced at USD 19.99.
Stay tuned.

I wonder when are they going to add modern bands like: MUSE, The Killers, Korn, The White Stripes, Linking Park, Papa Roach...and Guns & Roses also more of Metallica.

It's about freaking time! This is one of the main reasons I bought Rock Band. I am big Who lover. The only bad things is this comes out the same week as NCAA 2009. I thought this would be one of the first albums to be released, and finally it comes out after almost a year of release.

@Shin-Karazu:Since when are Guns & Roses and Metallica new bands? And I agree with Muse and The White Stripes, but the others are overpopularized Pop Metal-rap junk.
