In a new Beneath the Surface trailer, the developers of Tomb Raider: Underworld have revealed how they have given Lara Croft over 2000 new animations via the use of new motion-capture technology, unlocking unlimited possibilities by playing on the question, "What would Lara do?"
According to the team, this is the first Tomb Raider title to utilize motion capture. In addition, new ideas have been implemented into the combat system such as jumping off of enemies and shooting at two different targets at the same time.

OK you've got motion capture and she can do new little movements, but from the gameplay they show, Lara going around a jungle jumping from pillar to post scaling walls shooting tigers and crocodiles etc, hasn't this been done before. How is that different from any previous Tomb Raider. I feel that they need to focus on the story more and make the game more engaging that way. Only then will all this time and effort on motion capture be worth it. Just my take on it anyway

This game was good when the Ps1 came out. I personly, played all of them and they were great. Now, 100% this new Tomb Raider it will not be more then 6 hours and that's all. The old Tomd Raider's they were very long and specailly "The Last Revolution". Its a shame how this game is getting shorter and with the Ps3 system it should way better then the old once. But lazy developers.

Disappointing. The run and gun mechanics are reminiscent of Fracture(not Rapture). One year after Uncharted and the graphics are no where near as good.
