Trine 2 has gone into ‘content lock,’ says dev

Frozenbyte has confirmed via its blog that platform-puzzler Trine 2 has entered “content lock” mode, with the sequel heading into the testing/tweaking stage to receive a final coat of polish before release.

However, the developer was quick to point out that we shouldn’t expect the game out just yet, noting there still remains a ‘tedious approval process’ to get through first.

As such, the studio’s still adhering to its tired and tested “It is released when it is done” philosophy. Still, it’s a step in the right direction for the game, which has been in development for quite some time now.

Trine was 2 originally scheduled for a ‘late summer 2011’ release. Check out our interview with Frozenbyte here.
