Turbine developing MMO for PS3/360

Craig Alexander, vice president of project development at Turbine, has revealed that the company is working on a MMO title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Speaking during a keynote at GDC Austin, Alexander said that the unnamed project has been in-house for the past year and a half, and is currently pencilled in for release in early 2011.
Apparently, the firm has spent upwards of $20 million on the game so far, though Alexander remained tight-lipped in regards to any concrete details on the project. He did, however, offer his two pence on the MMO market, stating that he feels console offerings in the genre would eventually surpass their PC counterparts.

the era has begun and ps3 will be where its gonna dominate. we have dcuo, free realms coming soon, playstation is gonna take the number 1 spot by storm and isn't going to let go. imagine the possibilities, for example guild wars and aion and wow on consoles no one would do anything but stay home a world of slim ps3s and fat owners. lol would be sweet.

I just had the perfect idea, Someone could create a MMO called console Wars and make it beplayable PS3 vs 360... Sony and MS should put their differences aside and do this together. With all the money to support it could be done with quality and quicker than the usual MMO.

This really happens every generation, consoles hit market, PC gamers either branch off, or stay faithful, console life comes to an end, PC gaming picks up again. But console MMO's for some of my fellow gamers state, "Console MMO's are always going to be dumbed down compared to a PC MMO."

OMG, baldurs gate dark alliance, that game was quality on PS2. Absolutely loved it. In fact i was playing it on my PS3 earlier today. If they made a MMO a similar style and feel to that, i would love it.

MMORPG's are crap.
Oooh look at me! I'm clicking on it! Wow! Watch him fight for me! Hey, If I do this 1000 more times, averaging in a 1 kill per hour, I'll make it to level 2 in 41 days! It will only cost me 15 more dollars to play in the meantime!
