Summary
Turok is your average FPS. There isn’t anything addictive or impressive about it at all, yet there isn’t anything that makes it a rough experience. It’s just what you’d expect out of any everyday shooter on the market (If you’re a vegetarian, this game also isn’t for you.)
We like
- Stealth kills will keep you playing
- Dialogue is half-decent
- Online co-op for what it's worth
We dislike
- Storyline disappears halfway through
- Cinematic quality is absurd
- Textures need alot of work
See PSU's review on Metacritic & GameRankings
(continued from previous page) ...experience is pretty dull to be honest and you’re not going to invest a lot of time into it like you may other online games.
Overall, Turok takes you deep into a jungle atmosphere with tall grass, plenty of dinosaurs, a slew of bad guys, but this amalgamation ultimately offers nothing more than an average gameplay experience. We suggest the game may provide some entertainment on rental-only basis, or solely for Turok enthusiasts.

This game is great and fun to do co-op. It's really challenge at the middle of the game. This game bored me in the begginning and now i'm loving it.

Enacku, user ratings are skewed big time by people who give games they hate automatic 1's and 0's and games they automatically feel should be amazing 10's and 9's... Also, user ratings may be done by people who haven't even played the game they're rating. The majority of my review scores are pretty "just" in terms of averages on what the game is receiving in general.

Yeah, I understand your opinion and respect it. Was just giving insight as to why the gap is so large between user rating/review rating. (This doesn't apply to multiplat sites due to fans of each console cancelling the other out in ridiculous votes, lol)

I think turok is much better thank DMC4 to be honest. Clearly you haven't played Turok on insane or played the large capture the flag matches. It isn't old at all. You can't say shooters get repetitive. Look at Resistance and look at COD4 and R6:Vegas? Are they repetitive? No, mostly because you think they are more fun than this. Nevertheless all shooters are redundant so stop pointing it out.

I only played the demo, but I found it to be really quite poor. From what I experienced, I'd probably say 6/10, but like I said, I only played the demo.

I guess this game ended up being a filler for fps later on in the end. But then again not many people liked the demo as much because it seems like your standard fps with the exception of some of the features like the universal usage of the knife.

If you ask me, the pros should all be cons for this game. Half-decent dialogue is bad. Stealth kills will never keep anyone playing a game IMO. If that was the case then SOFP should have flown off the shelves. I don't think a 7 is good for this game. Playing the demo, I'd give it a 5 at best, probably a 4. Not because I hate the game, but because the game just sucks. Heck make it a 3

www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=4755645 This link will guide you through the EASY process of getting a brand new retail Playstation 3! Here is how it works! First and foremost this is NOT like those other offers you see all over the web, where you are required to sign up for a million "free" offers that end up taking forever and costing you a bunch of money and a headache. You click this link and sign up for their referral program. With this program you are required to participate in only ONE of their sponsor's offers, the one I chose was the yahoo success kit, which only cost $1.95! That’s all I have paid so far! Once you sign up for your ONE required offer you use the link they provide you and post it on forums, or send it to friends, and if someone uses that link to sign up and complete one offer of their own, you get a referral. Here is the cost breakdown of the referral system. 8 Referrals = New retail 40gb PS3 10 Referrals = New retail 60gb PS3 14 Referrals = New retail 80gb Ps3 and two games YOU CHOSE (includes new releases like Uncharted: Drake's Fortune or Ratchet and Clank Future etc…) Plus many more PS3 offers and others including up to $475 in CASH I have been a member for 3 days and have 10 completed referrals on my account, well on my way to my chosen 14 (Already enough for a 60gb or 40gb PS3). I also have 250 people, who have signed up; if any 4 of them complete an offer I have my Ps3 and two games. It can take up to 3 days for a completed offer to process, so I may have already reached my goal. The company even covers shipping and handling so there is no hidden costs of ANY KIND. This website even has you create an account so you can track your progress the entire way through, and once your package ships, they supply a UPS tracking link. It is extremely user friendly I recommend you research this company online, as they are proven legitimate and not in any way a scam. EGM magazine actually did a story on them 2 years ago to see if they were legit and did in fact get a free system, so they proved it worked! The way it is possible is these sponsor's pay this company money for referring people to them, and using a portion of that money, buy you a PS3 as an incentive for helping them advertise. It is a pretty nice scheme, but it results in me getting something for free so I don't care. This will be my third free thing to get from this company; I have a 360 elite and iPhone for the cost of about 5 dollars. Enjoy your free system, free isn't a bad deal for a great console and a Blu-Ray player! www.YourPS34free.com/index.php?ref=4755645

I only made it about halfway through this gme. The aiming system is horrible - it's jerky and twitchy. You can turn down the sensitivity, but then it's just jerky and twitchy and slow. There is absolutely no story, and there's not even any forward momentum to the gameplay. You're just walking through jungle, killing dinosaurs with your knife because the guns are too inacurate to hit the broad side of a barn. Gameplay is extremely frustrating because you're just fighting the aiming controls, not the enemies. It's like the developers went through the whole game and anytime they came across soemthing that was the slightest bit fun, they replaced it with something frustrating.
