Reports that the Twisted Metal series may be making the transition to Sony’s PlayStation 3 console have surfaced on the Internet this week, following claims of a “hidden” message found in the PS2 title, Twisted Metal: Head On: Extra Twisted Edition.
According to popular gaming forum NeoGAF, users have uncovered a secret message hidden in the Dark Past video in the form of several numbers which, when substituted for letters, allegedly appear to spell out ‘Twisted Metal is coming to the PS Three.’
This is further backed up by previous comments from Eat Sleep Play’s David Jaffe, who told GamePro, "if you want to know what our next game is, it’s absolutely revealed if you have a sharp eye in Twisted Metal: Head-On: Extra Twisted Edition".
"It’s a really cryptic riddle we put in there," said Jaffe.
Sony has refused to issue comment on the matter.

David Jaffe has confirmed to Kotaku that Twisted Metal is indeed coming to the PS3, though he neglected to reveal if it would be available on Blu-ray or as a download via PSN.
