According to reports, the North American release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is to feature additional content not found in the Japanese version of the popular racing sim.
News comes following a report on website Siliconera, which was able to squeeze the information out of a Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEA) PR representative.
However, despite committing to new content for the US release, no details were available as to what this may include; although, the inclusion of extra vehicles and tracks certainly seems a possibility.
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is scheduled for release in North America on April 17, with a European release due slightly earlier on March 28.

Finally us Brits get something before you guys : )
@chilledbreeze7 - Good shout!
I still dont understand the huge delay between the Japanese launch and the Euro/American one, Surely licencing can not be the issue, any ideas anyone??
it must be becuse for the european release it has to be released in several different languages. english, french, german, italian etc.. but i have no idea why american release dates are far after the japanese
Some online store had a description of the US version on their pages, which seemed to imply that GT5 Prologue's US version would have one new track and (IIRC) some new cars also. Whereas the Japanese version was "5 tracks & 60 cars" the online store says "6 tracks & 70 cars" (note: this is an example, I don't remember if there were 70 cars, just 65 cars or the same number of cars there were in the Japanese version) for the US version.
Don't be so happy, any new content probably will be available to the importers by download, since the online component is the same for all.
When you import you are playing instead of waiting.
Scratch extra vehicles, just give me proper damage.
For once we get something before the the Americana!!!
Lets hope europe gets this content too, we need an equivelent UK version of PSU as so many articles are north amercan based, and yes i know its an american site before some clever ar$e points it out
Give me more cars screw damage. that doesnt make the game any funner just a nice feature to have. Cars Cars Cars or even better no more cars but let me mod something.
America is last cause the game is more popular in Japan and Europe
psn id: gingo... yeah really hope this extra content gets released in european version although is it not only UK version that is gettin the top gear episodes and stuff
In my opinion, GT5 Prologue is the stupidest idea ever. They're taking their time to make a demo of a game, yet the demo is big enough to make it an actual game. They could have finished the actual game by now. I don't understand why they feel the need to do this, it's rather stupid
Everyone is entitled to their opinion Jamison, but mine is the opposite of yours. Having the content and making the demo really doesn't take much more time away from developing. They're obviously not done with all of the assets of the game and are giving people a taste now which also benefits with collecting data on online play etc.
Look how long we had to wait for the EU and NA versions of Prologue. It juts more to add to the fact that Sony likes the Japanese better than they like poeple from EU and NA. I'm really starting to see Sony as a company who has favorites.
I may want to get this
It's nice to get extra content but I hate driving sims myself.
