Uncharted demo not working in EU? (UPDATED)

Recent developments have come in regarding the Uncharted Demo available for download through the PSN Store. For North Americans, the download is a seamless transition as they get to catch an early glimpse of the game for themselves.
For Europeans, the same cannot be said. Many people in Europe with the PlayStation 3 have reported that the demo is not working on their EU consoles. When it is launched, the following screen appears:
Wide-spread conjecture points towards a region lock for the demo, despite the fact that all PS3 games are supposedly region free. Then there is the notion that this could just be a mistake on Sony’s part. Let us just hope that this is a mistake and people in the EU can experience the same treatment as those in North America. Someone needs to get on the ball and get this fixed immediately.
Developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony, Uncharted is an adventure game with many search and exploration aspects built into it. The story puts gamers in the shoes of Nathan Drake, a modern day fortune hunter whom becomes stranded on a remote island after trying to explore the treasure of El Dorado. Drake is not alone on the island however, as mercenaries and other obstacles of all sorts tries to post-pone any plans that Drake may have of getting off the island alive.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is set to release on the PS3 exclusively in North America on November 19th, Australia November 9th, and Europe in November.

Indeed they need to fix this, the game is awesome. I've played the demo over 4 times; however, one of my buddies from my PS3 buddy's list lives in Europe and he can't play it. That sucks.

I live in Europe and im realy disappointed by this! I was so waiting this demo. now i have to wait until the demo comes to europe (in about a month) befor i can decide if i want to buy the game or not. IRRITATING! I hate the fact that sony looks at europeans like "they dont mind, they buy our products anyway when eaver it comes, so let them wait and focus on US,UK.." Ok im over reakting a bit i know

Is it only affecting Europe or does this also include Australia? I don't want to waste over 1gb of download! And the fact that I have a slow download speed doesn't help either! It'll take about 5-6 hours to download this over night! I know I'm a tight ass, but I can't help it!
Also, I noticed that you can't download anything while playing online games!!! Can they fix this?

I understand europeans being disapointed at Sony for not releasing the demo on their region, but as they said they need to finish the localizations on the demo to be able to release it there... what I don't get is why people is disapointed that something they are not supposed to do does not work... ???

its disappointing cause we had a way to get demos at the same time as the US... even if the games came uot a week or so later... months for hardware

i cant even be bothered getting an american acount jsut so i can get these demos assasins creed comes out in like 4 days here guy ZOMG. its still a dissapointment when we have to get everything later then the us even when its not developed there. is nuaghty dog an australian company since crash bandicoot is based in australia and has alot of australian themed stuff i would have htought so but I dunno if that means the devlopers based here. THE REST OF THE WORLD IS JSUT AS GOOD AS AMERICA IF NOT BETTER YOU GOTA STOP THIS SHIIT I DONT CARE ABOTUT HE REASONING ITS DISCRIMINATION MAKE THEM WAIT FOR US* FOR A CHANGE.

i think the thing i am most disapointed about the demo not working was the time involved, it took me about 4 hours to download the demo, yet if they had made a note of this in the terms and conditions, i would not have been bothered.i had intended on playing the demo and if the game was as good as i thought it would be, I would have imported it from the states. i have a japanese account as well and downloaded the gran turismo 5 prologue demo (a title which is one of sony's crown jewels) if any of the titles had been region locked i expected it to be that one. i hope this isnt a trend that sony are going to use, and is just a one off. by the way i have seen a lot of posts on blogs about how we europeans should not moan as we shouldnt have accesss to the usa PSN store.
Let me ask you this one last question if it was announced that demos for KILLZONE 2 or METAL GEAR SOLID 4 (yes i know thaey said there was no demo) were announced for the european store and japanese store respectively ( i chose these for the regions they were developed in), but they would not be put into the USA store for 3 weeks after would you
A) sit patiently waiting for 3 weeks till they were put in the store, or would you B) find any way possible to open a european/japanese account so you could get a taste of 2 of the biggest sony exclusive titles coming out.
maybe you will understand why we are so upset and dissapointed
