Our 360 counterparts have been enjoying the long lost city of Rapture for over a year now, but the PlayStation community is about to get some quality time in the sunken city come October 2. In a recent press release, 2K Games announced the release date for the BioShock demo which will hit the PlayStation Network this Thursday. While not much is known on what the demo will entail, it is certain that console owners are going to be pleased with what they get their hands on.
The release refers to BioShock as "...a narrative-driven action experience that allows players to do the impossible as they journey through an amazing, immersive and terrifying world. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically mutated citizens, the player will come to grips with the mysterious and fascinating world of Rapture, a distinct Art Deco underwater utopia gone mad. BioShock not only challenges players’ capacity to adapt and survive, but brings to question their values and relationships with the inhabitants of Rapture. With smart and adaptive AI, no encounter ever plays out the same way twice, while numerous customization options provide gamers with an experience that adapts to their playing style."
We'll be giving our own impressions of BioShock when it hits retail shelves on October 21.

A year ago I'd pay $60+tax for this game but not anymore. I refuse to pay full price for an old game ported to the PS3. If it's $40+tax then I'll buy it. If not, I'll wait until it hits the bargain bins. The most the game is good for are the Trophies. We all already know the story. Maybe I'll just borrow it from another sucker to get the Trophies.

i cant believe all of you arent convinced at how great this game is going to be, don't be turned off by other cheap ports this isn't like those half assed attempts at more money. Millions of people and dozens of game reviews can't be wrong, this game is a must buy.

I don't fancy playnig a game that has outdated graphics and has been past more developers fingers than a greasy keyboard with C++ written all over it.
Plus I didn't like the 360 demo last year either...
