White PlayStation 3 to show up in March?

With the recent news that the 40GB bundle no longer will be packaged with Spiderman 3, apparently a new model number has been issued.  According to a couple of Circuit City employees, that new model number happens to be, CECHH01. 

Now, this model number just happens to also be the same model number given to the White PlayStation 3.  With recent news regarding the silver version and the fact it wasn't going to find its way over to North America, it was almost naturally assumed that this version wouldn't either.

Will North America finally get to see a different color for the PlayStation 3 brand finally?  We'll keep you updated if anything becomes official.

    As sleek as the white PS3 is, I really wish they had given all PS3's the brushed look over the shiny look.  just makes it look more durable.

    silver would be better than white, and black is awesome cause you can see your reflection

    I hope all the colors they've shown with the prototypes all eventually come out worldwide.

    i dont see why only japan should get other-coloured ps3's,, they had the silver with the ps2, i mean, it makes no sense,

    cool. i think white would look better than black because then u can't see all the dust like my black ps3

    I'd much rather have silver than white. It doesn't matter though, I'm happy with my black one. If ever I had to buy a new one, I'd probably get a black one again. It just goes well with everything else.

    ha. i think i read some where on here that MGS4 will have a special edition ,dual shock 3 controller, and the game 80gb ps3 for 499.00 if i will have the money i would buy that and give my friend my 60 gb. makes me wish i would have saved my money and just spent it if that's coming out

    That white is beautiful too. If you had that with the white ds3...But for those guys that are mad about all the flavors they have in Japan,I bet crapbox3fixme didnt have the Galo package out in Japan but why, Japanese dont really like them and its an American Product. Like in Europe they have Benz as cop cars. Dont see that out here do you?

    i wonder if anything else is different besides the color because they said they changed the model number? white does looks pretty good it makes me wanna take a bite out of it. lolz

    I really hope they bring out all colors world wide, like MatrixSixAxis said. I'll keep my black though- it's "piano" black :) not just any black.

    The Black PS3 is obviously the most sexiest color avaiable. The White PS3 just doesn't look right to me and it sticks out like a fly in milk in a  home entertainment  center. Sony should make a Dark Red or Dark Blue PS3.... Now that would be cool.

    I do have the White Dualshock 3 controller, but I just bought it just to have a controller with a different color. But I wouldn't buy a White PS3 console.
