As expected, Namco Bandai has announced that Yoda will be making his way over to the PlayStation 3 version of its highly successful fighting game, Soul Calibur IV.

Released as an exclusive character for the Xbox 360 alongside Darth Vader for the PS3, many anticipated that both characters would eventually make the transition to the opposite platform at some point down the line.

Fortunately, those of you itching to pit this iconic pair up against each other won’t have to wait long, with both characters (Vader for Xbox 360 and Yoda for PS3) up for download on October 23 for the sum of USD 5.

five dollars? what thats like 3 quid yeah? suppose it depends on how good he is. Would be a better deal if they threw in an extra stage or something as well

Well had it been a character they created I am sure the price would have been .99 to 1.99 but with licensing from George Lucas's companies they have to infalte the price.... But yeah I think 5 buck's is a bit much....

Not worth my money, they should have released him for free just to generate more interest in the game and get players to renew their interest. But I don't think it ends here, isn't there still another wide open slot over on the right side of the select screen somewhere? Get ready for Luke!

Considering the rather lame, lackluster stuff they've put up on Live and the PSN for Soul Calibur at $3.99, ONE character for $5 is a bit of a rip off.

If they would of released him for free and like 2 new stages I bet they would of made more of a killing then they will with charging 5 bucks for a yoda.

Vader for the PS3 is a pathetic character, (his apprentice on the otherhand is awesome), so I wouldnt recommend any 360 owners buying Vader, not for $5, and I doubt I would buy Yoda for that price either.  Maybe for $1 I would, but not for half the price of a decent PSN game.

5 dollars for a game-breaking character?? no way!!. Yoda makes xbox ranked unplayable.
