President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has issued a status update on Rat Race, confirming that the PlayStation Network episodic title has in fact been cancelled.
Speaking in an interview with PS3fanboy, Yoshida commented that the team were ultimately not happy with the how the game was shaping up, stating, "So, yeah, we stopped it. We really liked the concept; it's like The Office TV series.”
“It was kind of funny but we were not quite happy with how the game was turning out and there was some difficulty in development.”
A video of the title can be viewed below for those who are interested.

i never heard about this game, so, who cares ??
psn id: gingo... yeah this is the first i heard of it before so not a massive loss i dont think
I don't particularly care for this game, but Yoshida comes on board and several titles (8 days, Getaway, now this) get cancelled? What's up with this guy?
i never heard about this game but when i first saw name thought it would be a film tie in of rat race since its been quite some time now that i would have bought
I don't get the joke.
It wasn't actually a game, more so episodic content of some video (or I could be wrong). There was an announcement at the PS Blog about it.
i was actually looking forward to this. Oh well.
Never heard of the game in the first place.
Damn this game looked REALLY promising when they first showed it too !!
I thought the comedy bits were garbage when I saw some early footage a while back, I'm actually kinda glad this was cancelled.
Oh no! This was the whole reason I bought my PS3!
lol@12
I'm with Inbetweener on this. This guy shows up & stuff starts getting cancelled. I've come to expect this news from 3rd party developers, but Sony studios? Come on now. I smell a mole.
