It may not be the remake everyone has been clamoring for, but the recent confirmation that Final Fantasy VII International has been made available on the Japanese PlayStation Network is still cause for celebration.
While most gamers who have wanted to relive what is often regarded as the greatest role-playing game of all time have had to pay $50-60 for a copy, PlayStation 3 owners can now do so for the premium price of JPY 1,500/ $14.93.
For those unaware, the International version of the 1997 classic packs in all the extra content found in the original North American release, such as the Ruby and Emerald Weapons and enhanced management system.
It goes without saying that this is a crucial PlayStation Store release and we’ll be surprised if the game doesn’t find itself making its way over to North America and Europe. We’re hoping sooner rather than later, as we’re sure most of you are too.
