Rumor: Bioshock to PS3... again?

A recent Gamepro interview with Bioshock developer Ken Levine has left the above question unanswered, but the possibility is once again open. When asked if the game will grace the PlayStation 3, Ken gave no definitive answer either way. Nonetheless, he went on to say that “right now” his team is focused on the Xbox 360 version.
Keep in mind above all else that this was the same case with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Bethesda denying the port until only a few months before releasing it on the PS3. We had the chance to talk Ken Levine, Creative Director on Bioshock, after last year's X06 and were told that a PS3 version was in fact in development.
To tame our curiosity, PSU mailed 2k Games about the rumor just to see if anything had changed but we received the same response they've been spouting since last year.
"BioShock is exclusive to the Xbox 360 and Games For Windows."
From what we have heard personally and the recent rumors circulating, we could expect to see this title grace the gaming scene next spring for the PS3.

if this is going to come to the PS3 i say they should go ahead and take there time :) if there is one thing i hate is a game that is rushed. im sure this game is going to be excellent for the 360 :) i can't wait to play it.

I hope it comes to PS3, only if its not ported. Make it the same story, but take ur time. Besides that, I would rather play it on XBox with better experience and graphics

Well,one more is always nice,so i hope they do make a ps3 version.BUT build it from ground up for the ps3 otherwise it won't be even worth renting.

Doesn't affect me as I'd get it for the PC if it doesn't get ported. Still, if it gets ported I'll get it for the PS3, just like I will Oblivion.

I won't believe its coming to PS3 until either the publisher OR developer say it is. Its been mentioned as an Xbox 360 exlcusive now for some time. PS3 fan boys have a go at 360 fan boys over MGS4 to 360 rumours. Methinks the Bioshock to PS3 rumours falls squarely in the same catergory!!! I just don't think its worth them bothering, take too much effort would be out after the Christmas period long after UT2007, Haze etc. and would fall right in the Killzone 2 launch window where it'd be swamped as a late port, losing developer, publisher and thus more importantly share holders money. B bye

I will play it on my pc if it doesnt come to the PS3. I don´t need to buy a 360 in order to play "the exclusives" it has, when they will eventually arrive on the PC
The game for windows strategy is gonna kill the 360 mark my words

Honestly I think its pretty pointless to believe anything any developer has to say. Take that as a gripe and an understood issue. One being that just spit it out and tell us, it'll come out eventually and two being that if they release it for multiple systems we understand they do it to make money on rising development costs. Don't tell us its exclusive now, only to tell us a month after one system release its coming out for another system.

@Heavenly-King: If it isn't on PS3, I'll play it on PC; I'm in agreement with you on that one. I'm not too sure if GFW will thrash the Xbox line, but it'll certainly put a damper on it.
That aside, I'm not crazy over playing Bioshock. If it came to the PS3, then that's all well and good. It just isn't really doing anything for me. Who knows, I might one day change my mind, but I'm not going to be destroyed if the game never touches the PS3.
